Web Administrator designs, builds and maintains web sites, and provides web technology solutions and services.
Website administrators may perform the following tasks:
- create, maintain and improve websites
- select, create and install applications and software to create web content and check for consistency
- develop and enforce the website's style and interact with graphic artists over website design
- make the website as easy as possible to navigate
- set up and maintain web servers
- ensure that quality and standards are maintained and that links work efficiently
- take responsibility for the website's editorial content
- coordinate the work of support staff involved in developing and maintaining websites
- write reports and analyse website user statistics
- repair any problems that may occur
- provide user support
This occupation belongs to Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL) . STSOL consists of the list of the occupations which are high in demand in Australia.
