Tennis Coach coaches, trains and instructs participants in tennis by analysing their performances and developing their abilities. Registration or licensing is required.
Tennis Coach may perform the following tasks:
- coaching, training and instructing sportspersons by analysing performances and developing abilities
- planning and directing game strategies, developing play patterns and analysing game progress
- motivating Sportspersons and supervising practice sessions
- recruiting players and other coaching staff
- arranging entries into sporting competitions
- promoting sports and skills development, and overseeing the participation of young people in sport
- officiating at sporting events to enforce rules
- coordinating and directing sporting activities, and liaising with other officials to interpret and enforce rules and regulations relating to sport

Tennis Coach is classified as Group F occupations by Vetassess. The criteria for skills assessment of Group F occupations are the following:
- Qualification/s assessed at least AQF Certificate II with a highly relevant field of study and at least one year of postqualification highly relevant employment at an appropriate skill level in the last five years;Or
- Qualification/s assessed at Australian Certificate II without a highly relevant field of study and at least two years of post-qualification highly relevant employment at an appropriate skill level in the last five years
According to Vetassess, if you have pre-qualification employment and if all of your employment is before your qualifications assessed at the AQF Certificate II, three years of highly relevant employment in addition to at least one year of highly relevant employment at an appropriate skill level completed in the last five years.
