Australian Nursing & Midwifery Accreditation Council Skills Migration Assessment
Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC) is the designated assessing authority for nursing occupations and provides skills assessment services for migration purposes to those nurses who wish to apply for either a permanent or temporary Australian visa.
English Language Competency Requirement
If you are applying for a modified skills assessment you do not need to provide English language test results. All other applicants applying to have their skills assessed by ANMAC are required to provide evidence of their English language competency through one of the following tests:
The following English language test is acceptable:
- IELTS (Academic version)
- TOEFL iBT®
- PTE ACADEMIC
- OET (Occupational English Test)

Please note that there are some exemptions may be granted to the English language requirement.ANMAC accepts test results that are up to two years old. You only have to pass one of these tests, not all of them. Scores from two different tests cannot be combined.
