Latest Changes to Global Talent Visa
From 20 January 2021, Masters and Bachelor with Honours graduates are no longer eligible for invitation to the Global Talent Independent program on the basis of their qualifications.
The Department of Home Affairs has confirmed new changes to the Global Talent eligibility through its automated response that from 20 January 2021, Masters and Bachelor with Honours graduates are no longer eligible for invitation to the Global Talent Independent program on the basis of their qualifications.
If you have already received your invitation reference identifier, you will still be eligible to lodge an application for a Distinguished Talent (subclass 858) visa.
If you have already submitted an Expression of Interest ( EOI ) as a Masters or Bachelor with Honours graduate, please note that from 20 January 2021, Masters and Bachelor with Honours graduates are no longer eligible for invitation to the Global Talent Independent program on the basis of their qualifications. This applies regardless of the date you submitted your EOI.

However if you can demonstrate that you have the ability to attract a salary at or above the Fair Work High Income Threshold of; AUD $ 153,600 , Master or Bachelor with Honours graduates can still apply for Global Talent Independent Program.
